Interesting from the young crowd. As a really old fart, we really did take the music we had for granted. I just accepted it as normal and as it was supposed to be and always be.

(58,224 posts)Here's a reaction montage for Barracuda. So cool to see their minds being blown.
I never really took the music of the 60s, 70s and on for granted. I knew from the get-go that the music was world-changing and that it was so strong that it was going to endure for decades and now I feel some of it will endure for centuries. I also made a vow to myself to not be hidebound like my parents and so many adults their age; I vowed to always maintain an interest in new music and I've mostly kept that. There is good new music being made now and music building on and revisiting music of the past few decades.

It was Steve Dahl's morning show on WDAI which I always listened to do on the drive to work.
I remember staying in the car in the parking lot for a bit to hear Steve say who it was.
I heard it again the next day, and stopped on the way home to buy the album.
Oh, and: that live cut is really good.
