(23,738 posts)Song was written in a van speeding down the Autobahn!
As someone in the comments to this one said, when Lemmy covers your song, it's not your song anymore.

(3,503 posts)Straight up, no nonsense ass kicking rock n roll. Lemmy is my spirit animal.
That they arent in the hall of fame is a disgrace.

(1,537 posts)This was a great line up. Two guitars and Philthy.

(20,518 posts)My then future wife and I were on a date early in our relationship. I looked at the marquee of a club called Trees and saw "Motörhead". I said "Oh fuck yeah!" We got in line, got in, and had one of the best nights ever.
While I can't credit it to Lemmy and his magic, we are still together!

Is this a temporary DU issue or a device/wifi problem on my end?

This summer I'm taking my granddaughter and her boyfriend to see Iron Maiden in South Florida.
Oh and Motorhead is still the loudest band I've ever seen.

(33,643 posts)I love gear vids!!!
stevil
(1,537 posts)The guitarist does a lot of videos for Electro-Harmonix. Gear vids take up way too much of my time. Love them too. I like American guitar and British amps.
mr_lebowski
(33,643 posts)Since I don't have a lotta cash but been wanting a new axe I been watching a lot of Harley Benton gear vids lately. Been leaning towards picking up one these ... thinking it's pretty kickass for $177 ... this guy is an amazing player, too ... I like his vids ...
stevil
(1,537 posts)I like his videos and his humour (yes I'm Canadian). Harley Benton is heaven for guitarists. I would be wary of the cheap cabinets. I want a strat and a Tele with hum buckers. But not before I have a strat with single coils. Great sound in this video. I'd rather have a Blackstar then an Orange amp.
mr_lebowski
(33,643 posts)Perfectly adequate and fun practice amp
Had to sell my Rivera Venus 5 combo to Guitar Center last year to make some bills after the divorce ... that was a sad day ... but I'd bought it for cheap and got back what I paid, so ... there was that.
stevil
(1,537 posts)Bought it from a friend during his divorce. A steal along with a Japanese Strat. The strat and amp are long gone.
mr_lebowski
(33,643 posts)In 1976 ... And the 'brand' ... is 'Orange' (although it's definitely not REALLY an 'Orange')
This is a strange set of coincidences
stevil
(1,537 posts)I gave it to friend who wanted a guitar. Black body, white fretboard, maple fretboard.. Clapton style. Then I bought a Japanese Fender. Fitted with a Kahler tremolo. Quite rare. Gong to get the same guitar in cream or white.
mr_lebowski
(33,643 posts)Of my Japanese Imitation Strat, which purports to be an Orange ... it's Cream, with Maple neck, and White pick guard ... along with my BlackStar amp ... and as I'm sure you can recognize ... that's a freaking Kahler trem on my axe (which I put on in the 1980's).
Like, are you at my house? I mean, seriously ... this is just a little uncanny
stevil
(1,537 posts)i used to think I saw Ritchie Blackmore play one. Maybe it was white. Love the colour. Only one I can find is the is an Yngwie Malmsteen model. Don't like trying to plat scalloped frets. Maple fretboard with a strat is what
I want. My first guitar had that and it was super creamy.
mr_lebowski
(33,643 posts)Starting w/you randomly mentioning Orange and Blackstar ... you ever even SEEN an 'Orange' guitar?
I'm also ... Californian, BTW
Palm Springs here. Had to drive to LA for the cool shows. Been South and North in California. Saw Stone Temple pilots at the Fillmore. along with a Neil Diamond clone
