This song is in my top 3 David tunes.
Was that Earl Slick to David's left? I looked at the YouTube description but there was nothing there about the players.

This is my favorite Bowie song, and my favorite performance of it. David's enjoying himself so much, so beautifully relaxed, and the vocal is perfect.

BTW: I've got that exact Dan Armstrong guitar he's got on the article's picture!

realize you'd see a guitar matching one of yours, especially when they only show six of his guitars. Do you know of any other famous guitarists who play that Dan Armstrong guitar?

Rick Derringer used one, Joe Walsh, Mike Campbell from the Heartbreakers, and a few others.
Geezer Butler from Sabbath used the bass version. Pretty sure there's a picture of him playing it on the inside jacket of their Vol 4 LP.
I have it set for high action for slide. The pickups can be swapped in and out in a few seconds. I only have the standard humbucker & single coil options, but the high action requires the humbucker as there is no way to adjust the distance between the strings and the pickup.
I play it very little. It's more a low cost collector's item at this point.
