I was having a production meeting with my staff about a horror film that we were in the planning stages for. It was also the night of the NCAA Championship game between the Houston Cougars and the North Carolina State Wolfpack. We were not really paying that much attention to it until the last five minutes. We were watching the television when college history was made. We watched as those big hands rose up from under the basket to grab the ball and slam it home for the win.
We decided to end the meeting and rush over to Hillsborough St. (beside State campus) to join in with the celebration. It was a madhouse. As you might have guessed, we heard that song every where that we turned! And, we heard it for the next six months every where that we turned!
Suffice to say, that tune means a lot to me because of the connotations. And, it is a great song as well.
But, I hope I don't hear it again any time soon...
