J. Geils band at Holy Cross College, Worcester. MA November 1972

1. Sadly, J. Geils passed on Apr 11th

I lived in Mass/NH for 20 years and saw him and the band perform a few times in local venues.

In the early 80's I saw them open for the Rolling Stones in Munich Germany.
It was right after Centerfold came out.

This is one of the sucky parts of getting old ... friends, heroes, and idols dying off.

2. Ya. Since they formed the band ,at WPI they had a tradition of playing New Year's eve in Worcester

At the time Worcester had the "Worcester Centrum" . One year my girl friend and I caught the show every night of the New Years weekend.. it was a "J. Geils house party"

It was tough hearing about J. Geils passing.

That most have been a great concert In Germany. I"ll bet J.Geils did a great job. Peter Wolf (the woober goober) can work a crowd.

3. Peter Wolf was married to the actress Faye Dunaway for awhile.
