Col. Bruce & ARU: Compared To What

I had forgotten how great this whole album is, it was a fav back in college. It's been on heavy rotation in my car this past week. And I just found out Col. Bruce died (onstage!) a couple years ago.

RIP, sir.

was a very good friend of the Col. and tells me funny stories of their escapades, and about his death onstage. Someone posted a video of the event, here, right after it happened. My friend managed one of the Col.'s bands, maybe this one.

A cute friend showed up and asked if I knew anyone who had some pot.

I said "come on in".

I got us both beers and rolled up a number.

We were giggling along when she said "You got any music?".

"Sure." I put on my brand new Aquarium Rescue Unit album.

About five minutes later, she said "I've got to go".

He was one cool, though lovevably crazy, character.

He was an unconventional poker player, as one would expect. Against him, and the other players, I simply anted and folded unless I had 4 Aces, or another lock. Out of my league.
