Related: About this forumBorn on this day, September 9, in 1947: Freddy Weller
He went through quite the career change.
Hat tip, This Day in Country Music:
1947
Born on this day in Atlanta, Georgia, was Freddy Weller, country music artist. His biggest solo hit as an artist was "Games People Play," which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1969; "Promised Land" and "Indian Lake," both 1971, peaked at #3.
"Games People Play"? I thought that was done by Joe South. Well, yes, it was. Joe South's version was the best known version of that song, but not the only one version.
