blues and jazz would be more reflective of the black experience I would think.

The separation of music into distinct racial categories is largely a result of decisions made by producers and distributors at the dawn of the recording/radio era.

Having lived in Bristol, TN for a time, I'm really enjoying getting to fill in some of the blanks in my knowledge.

And yes, that tacky sign still straddles State Street!

I had to watch country music shows on Saturdays after Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

It was so I could prename all the early artists in the first episode. Every one that appeared during the early sixties, I still can remember.
