...especially since I knew Dewey and am the current owner (since around 1978) of the Camco drums he used to record this song, and all the others.

The snare was not part of Dewey's kit. It's a custom made/hand signed Craviotto by DW (Drum Workshop).
When Dewey had them, he had the Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood CA - where he originally purchased the Camcos - add the heavy-duty tom mount, which was actually made by Pearl.
When Camco went under, DW bought their factory equipment, carrying on from where Camco left off.
About ten years ago, I convinced John Good of DW to sell me all new hardware, in particular, the signature round lugs to upgrade my Camco kit using state of the art DW parts, which is what you see in the photo.
So the only original parts left on this kit are the drum shells and the wooden rims on the kick drum, but they're a pretty significant aspect of the whole thing, I would say.
