2. I went to see Jerry Jeff in New Mexico once.

A friend and I were visiting her friend who lived there.

After the show, at a bar in the middle of nowhere, we couldn’t find our hostess, who had driven us there. We looked all over, couldn’t find her, and asked security for help. He asked her description, we said long blonde hair, sparkly orange coat. He said “she’s on the bus”.

We say “what bus”? He points outside to Jerry Jeff’s bus, and there she was.

Jerry Jeff tried to get her to go with him, and wasn’t gonna let her off the bus. Somehow she got out by telling him that she was responsible for those three girls outside the window looking scared and pitiful.
