(16,926 posts)know the song - heard it for years and always liked it - first time I ever saw the guy singing it.
No where near what I was "expecting" the guy to look like!
Good stuff - thanks!

Of course, at the time (1975) ... he looked like this ... that a bit more like it?

(23,102 posts)Gilmour writes some beauties. I've been a huge Pink Floyd fan since 1969 so Gilmours appearance wasn't surprising to me, lol.

(23,102 posts)Saw them debut Dark Side of the Moon at the Fillmore (WOW) then again after Piggies in Oakland. Dark Side was the finest concert I've ever seen and the most amazing experience of my life!

Gee, I wonder where Roger got the 'look' for Pink in The Wall?

(51,593 posts)Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun
Shine on you crazy diamond
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky
Shine on you crazy diamond
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom
Blown on the steel breeze
Come on you target for faraway laughter
Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon
Shine on you crazy diamond
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light
Shine on you crazy diamond
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision
Rode on the steel breeze
Come on you raver, you seer of visions
Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine

(33,643 posts)Your point is well-taken
Also, you missed Parts VI-IX ... I believe it starts 'Nobody knows where you are ... how near or how far ...' IIRC ...
