The Pogues (Although they are more Celt Punk not heavy)
But for Irish Rock you cannot overlook Horslips.

Here's a "Celtic tribute to Led Zeppelin" by the Boys of County Nashville. Instrumental and pretty cool!

Heavy English folk rock. Worked a bit w Tull in the mid 70s. Parcel of Rogues, Commoners Crown, All Around My Hat and Now We Are Six are all excellent. The earlier albums lean more folk but are also good.
Fairport Convention is another option. Liege and Lief is THE English folk rock album, and they gave the world Richard Thompson and Sandy Denny. Also tightly associated with Tull - Faiports bassist and drummer have both played in Tull.
