Dwights cool. It was just so hard to find the original. It was all a duet with Dwight!

(11,802 posts)I had gotten into Willie and Cash and that was as far as my country went...outside the Smokey & The Bandit theme of course. And then a buddy turned me on to The Flying Burrito Brothers which really opened it up for me. Which opened the door to Buck, and Uncle Tupelo, and Conway, and Jerry Reed, etc.
And, The Polack Msgt posts kick ass country here all the time too. So theres that to helps me along.

Putting him in my phone so I can tell Alexa to spin up some numbers when I fits back home.

(3,733 posts)Hit me up the next time ya want to talk about music. Im a huge Burrito Brothers fan.
I love country-rock and old honky-tonk.
The only current stuff I really listen to is Indie, so Im not well versed on any country thats come out in the last 25 years.

(11,802 posts)At least what they play on the radio anyway. Its pop music with a twang and its all beer, truck, girl, jeans, beer, truck girl, jeans, beertruckgirljeans. Its the same awful song artist after artist.
I was working with some twenty somethings 4-5 years ago. And he who drives controls the radio. I wasnt driving. And these kids where from south of rt. 30 (the Mason-Dixon Line in Indiana). After like 90 minutes, Im like dude! How many times are they going to play this fucking song! They told me it was the first time since he took the wheel. I couldnt tell the difference.
