2. Poor Mike Pence. No sympathy.

Five years ago it looked like his career was over. Done. He made such a mess in Indiana as Governor it looked like he couldn't be elected to anything. Then he was picked by Trump at the suggestion of I believe Paul Manafort as his Vice President to keep the Christian Fundamentalists happy. He had a few good years where he reinforced Trumps standing even more with the fundies and even got some good feelies from non-fundies who weren't paying a lot of attention to his real views like my neighbor who wasn't fundamentalist but who often commented on what a nice Christian man he was not paying attention to the harm some of his views did. Well, as the fundies were getting everything they wanted from Trump, he didn't need Pence as much for that so he had Pence do other things besides adore him with his eyes, and gave Pence duties for which he was totally incompetent, like the Coronavirus Task Force. Now he was set up for a hanging and nobody likes him.
