Watched this tonight with the family, except, when I turned the lights on, I was the only one there!
To the rest of my family at DU, what a great movie this was. I can't imagine seeing it for the first time in the movie theater, with the incredible guest appearances and the remarkably good comedy, along with many surprises in the script along the way. It must have been a real joy to see for the first time. It's a joy for me on probably my 80th time!
If I could, I would find a link for the whole movie and post it here: every single part of it brings a smile or laugh. But, posting a link to the movie might not be permissible, so I'll pick a few favorite musical bits (and ALL of them are my favorites) and one non-musical scene directly relevant to today.
Folks, we are indeed still on a mission from God!
This is an homage to Cab Calloway and Booker T and the MGs:
Here's a couple of pieces from two relative unknowns
And Proud Boys, Nazis, and White Supremacists: you were LOSERS then, and you're even bigger LOSERS now!:

Most of the high school band (I played trumpet) was enamored of the movie, so for basketball pep band, we were the Roundball Blues Band, and we opened with the Blues Brothers theme. Good times.
