I just came across this wonderful song that is always associated with Ringo. In this version, George sings it in a great demo.
Ok, the lads kept it in the family!

(153,226 posts)I remember when Ringo's song first came out, my family was falling apart and it felt like that song was for me.

(7,715 posts)The early 70s ex-Beatles stuff (specifically referring to 1970-1972) was great and sad at the same time. I wasn't old enough back then, but these songs, for the most part, are sad. I cannot imagine the sadness the Fab Four or their fans were feeling at that time.
The exceptions after the break-up are "Instant Karma" and anything of George's wonderful "All Things Must Pass".

(153,226 posts)I moved constantly when I was growing up (GI brat) and if you mention a year I have to think about where I was....but if you mention a song, I know exactly where I was and who was around me and what was going on.....music can really evoke powerful memories
