(192 posts)We put a few of our favorites on our Youtube playlist. Great music. Still holds up. Loved him on Daryl's House in recent years.
Thanks for posting!

(65,071 posts)Over our 19 active years we covered 10 or so Todd or Utopia songs.
3 or 4 any given night.
Hello It's Me, was one we did. No guitar. Just piano, drums, and bass. Our version was fairly jazzy.

(192 posts)Wow, 19 years. Incredible. His music was so full of emotion in both the lyrics and the melody. I can see why you covered so much of his work. A jazzy cover of "Hello It's Me" sounds interesting. With a good singer and arrangement, I could imagine how you could do justice to it with a minimal instrumental trio.
He was an important artist for me (and Im sure) many others at the time. Late teenage years, ya know.
Checking our Youtube playlist this afternoon (338 songs), theres more Todd than I remembered. Wait for Me, It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference, Can We Still Be Friends, Hello Its Me, Real Man and A Dream Goes On Forever. Some from the original albums, some from more recent renditions at Daryls House. On 2 of the songs, we have both the old version and the latter. All still wonderful after all these years!
AND.....he is still helping young artists to this day.

(65,071 posts)In Utopia, it was hard to tell which of the 3 was the better singer, and Todd's outstanding.
But, his guitar playing is superb. He's ok on keys, but is great on guitar.
