Righteous singing Don, way to go.
- "Tell It Like It Is" is a song written by George Davis and Lee Diamond and originally recorded and released in 1966 by Aaron Neville. In 2010, the song was ranked No. 391 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tell_It_Like_It_Is_(song)
I recall he hung out with the Allman Bros., and according to this article also Dickey Betts, the Doors, Frank Zappa and others. Wow..

(3,266 posts)and he SINGS, too? Even better. Never have seen this, but I love that he chose something soulful and classic in the terribly pop-y 80s.

(41,140 posts)I remember he was into performing and hanging out with bands for a while. 'Heartbeat' is also from the 80s. Among other things Miami Vice kept me going in the 80s. Lol.
I knew when I saw him in the TV film 'Return To Macon County' with Nick Nolte in 1975 that he would make it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Johnson
