There are a few bands that I loved - even back when I was a hard rock/metal guy back in the 70s

That really didn't scream "LET'S ROCK!!" You know folks like Poco or Loggins and Messina, and especially the band Firefall - Who incidentally just released a record around Christmas last year.

I'll get to that, but 1st a reminder of who they are

Hehe, just kidding, I love that song but if you didn't own that album chances you ever heard it are slim.

If you're a certain age, this one you've heard for sure

This song got a decent chunk of airtime too, at least on Pittsburgh radio

So sure, this thread has more cheese than the state of Vermont, but let's wallow in it ?

The new songs sound pretty much like Firefall songs are supposed to sound

Listening to to the music it is familiar. I think they opened for Doobie Brothers at a concert I heard. Perhaps others.

I was never much of a fan of Poco, but warmly recall a concert where they opened for Quicksilver Messenger Service. Poco captured the attention of the crowd and when QMS came on all impersonal and ethereal a lot of people weren't into it.

I'm a hard rocker as well but appreciate the great melodies of classic soft rock.
