But I had a summer job at an amusement park and didn't get done till 6 - and the concert didn't start till 8, but he wouldn't wait for me, took my mother instead.

I was 14 in 78 and hating life in general. I wanted to drive so bad I could taste it...freedom in a car was real. This brought back the good feelings that came with music of that time. Except disco, could never get into disco. You can't hate life and be all emo and shit and like disco...there I said it.
