This homage to Hawkins is truly unbelievable.

(113,047 posts)Her grandmother always listened to jazz, so she could sing Gloomy Sunday at 7 and sound like Billie Holiday. Or Dinah Washington. Or Ella Fitzgerald. Or Etta James. Or Amy Winehouse. Its so eerie.
Throw in Adele, Whitney, Norah Jones, Elvis, Freddie and you have this amazing singer who brings elements of all of them with a twist.
Queen saw her and gave her the copyright to the arrangement and performance of Bohemian Rhapsody she did, and asked her to perform with them when they are able to tour post Covid.

(16,844 posts)I don't know if they'll have any shows close to me, but I'll check them out if they do. Glad she's still singing. I felt so bad when Amy Winehouse died. I loved her voice and her style. Nobody will ever replace Amy, but it's good to see young people embracing that old music. It takes talent to do it, which is why we don't hear a lot of it today.
