(33,643 posts)And just sit back and rock it. It's so freaking good ... I've watched it like 4 times start to finish, and certain songs more than that. Admittedly, it does take them a few songs to really get into a groove (Palmetto Rose seems like a soundcheck really) but (at the latest) by the time Dress Blues hits at song 5 ... it's all golden from then on.

(33,643 posts)I love that they used Zip City, I freaking love that song ...
Cooley's lyrics are all great but I especially love this one:
"So keep your drawers on, girl, it ain't worth the fight
By the time you drop them I'll be gone
And you'll be right where they fall the rest of your life"

(3,696 posts)He has an inspiring life story too. Conquered his demons with the help and love of a good woman. Amanda accompanies him on some of his songs on the violin/fiddle. I love that kind of redemption stories. Here's a clip of one of my favorite JI songs, Songs that she Sang in the Shower. I'm a R&B and Jazz lover mostly but I love me some Jason Isbell too.
