When I saw Jackson Browne perform this (at 2 shows) Lyndley did the falsetto, they didn't have a woman singing it. She's smoother, but I liked it better when he pulled it off, more surprising.

I saw him live in the mid 70s and both Rosemary Butler and Lyndley took a turn with the falsetto

I already loved the songs he'd written that the Eagles sang, so was prepared to like him and he blew my socks off - every time I saw him.
