and that’s saying something. Joni Mitchell is one of two artists (the other being Dolly Parton) who I deeply admire and respect..but whose voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. I like a couple of her other songs, Coyote, and You Turn Me On I’m a Radio, but mostly her music leaves me cold. Still, I recognize her genius and am glad for her returning health and her recognition last night.

2. I understand what you're saying. Joni's a very gifted,

original artist and a beautiful spirit whose music to me expresses some personal pain at times. And that's ok, what art is about. Perhaps some is from the polio when young and the child she had to give up but later connected with. Who knows. Sometimes I find her a bit cold but still enjoy her songs and appreciate her. She's part of my life, wonderful times of youth and freedom.
