Jack does a great job with the phrasing/structure of these verse to chorus transitions.

I suspect musicians cover Bob because of the way his songs can be manipulated to fit you style - but remain strong and well made...

I wish I had the vocabulary to explain what I mean - - -

But I never took any music theory, and my AAS is in RF Communications Systems.

So, not many electives were required is what I'm getting at...

You described it perfectly. The depth of the lyrics and the the music allows for an artist to create their own playground and Jack does an incredible job with that.

Jimi's interpretation of "All Along the Watchtower" comes immediately to mind. Dylan loved it too.

Miss Warren quite a bit.

Such a great songwriter.

I was gonna post Boom Boom Mancini, but I listened to your post 1st, and heard that Bob did that one.

So let's hear about a headless Thompson Gunner instead

This has been posted here several times, probably by you, but it’s one of my favorite Dylan covers.

And yes, I posted this before, several other people have as well. Can't blame us, it's fucking great

As good as Billy's picking is, Danielle Nicole's voice is just as impressive.

The gravel reminds me a little of Beth Hart, but she’s all her own. That is a solid save to the Favorites list. Thx.

Here is one in honor of David Bowie.

Apocalyptica feat. Till Lindemann - HELDEN

https://m.

I think this is the best cover of the Scorpion classic from the Uli Jon Roth era.

Testament - The Sails of Charon (Scorpions)

I had never listened to Apocalyptica before.
I'm gonna have to listen a few more times to give it a fair shot - because it's a pretty in your face arrangement. and I think I need to get acclimated to it. (Edited to add - I like how they picked the German version of Heroes to cover)

The Ugly Kings covered Lazarus from David's last record "Black Star", but they didn't modify the arrangement as much as Apcalyptica did.
They just beefed up the drums and cranked the guitars

The Testament take on "Sails of Charon" is also new to me, but I dig it.
