The Carpenters would usually be a bit too "Adult Contemporary Middle-of-the-Road" market for my harder-edged musical tastes, but Karen Carpenter has one of the most strong and confident voices in popular music.
Thanks for Country Road - I'll put it on the same playlist with Yesterday Once More for my friend.
