Jen Psaki graduated from William and Mary with a double major in English and sociology. In addition to being a member of the swim team and Chi Omega sorority, she served as a campus tour guide and admission intern during her time at the university. In a 2015 article from The Flat Hat, Psaki said that she was grateful for W&’s liberal arts approach to education. - “I think it’s served me professionally in many ways, including the fact that it enabled me to develop strong writing skills, spend time really learning how to communicate effectively, but also personally, because I have an incredible support system of friends who are like family at this point in my life.” -

Psaki worked with several members of the U.S. Senate before joining Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. When he took office, she was named as deputy press secretary and later deputy communications director. After working for a public relations firm, she returned to the White House in 2012 as press secretary for Obama’s 2012 campaign. The next year, Psaki took the role as spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State.. https://www.wm.edu/news/stories/2020/wm-alumna-named-white-house-press-secretary.php

The College of William & Mary is a public research university in Williamsburg, Virginia. Founded in 1693 by letters patent issued by King William III & Queen Mary II. It is the 2nd-oldest institution of higher education in the United States and the 9th-oldest in the English-speaking world. William & Mary educated American presidents Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and John Tyler.

It also educated other key figures pivotal to the development of the United States, including the 1st President of the Continental Congress Peyton Randolph, the 1st U.S. Attorney General Edmund Randolph, the 4th U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall, Speaker of the House of Representatives Henry Clay, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Winfield Scott, 16 members of the Continental Congress, & 4 signers of the Declaration of Independence.
This earned it the nickname "the Alma Mater of the Nation". In 1749, George Washington also received his surveyor's license at the college and in 1788 he became the college's first American chancellor..
