Singer Mickey Dolenz was #BornOnThisDay, March 8, 1945. Best known as a member of the 1960s singing group The Monkees (1966'68) & a co-star of the TV series The Monkees (1966'68). Upon Michael Nesmith's death in 2021, Dolenz is the only surviving member of the group #birthday
{edited} Per Wikipedia, the correct spelling is "

CBS broadcast "Hot August Night" a few years back. Suitably, on a hot night in August.
I thought, "I'll just watch a few minutes of this."
Nope. It was great. Terrific show.
It's out there. You can find it. I'd love to have the DVD.
Edited: after looking around at YouTube, I think the one I saw was a much later remake of the original. I know I wasn't watching a performance from 1972. So I saw "Hot August Night II," or whatever. It's still worth viewing.
In my opinion, he wrote the best pop tune of the whole 1960s: "I'm a Believer."
I guess Micky's the last one, isn't he?

He appeared as "Micky Dolenz" in an episode of "Adam-12" that was on TV yesterday evening. I wasn't paying attention, and I didn't notice him. When his name popped up in the credits, that caught my eye.
