Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party (live)

I thought I would throw in a little 80’s new wave. Danny Elfman’s voice is interesting(really good) and the band looks like it has some character. Seems like it would have been a fun show. Not for everyone but I think it was worth seeing. You might remember this tune from the Rodney Dangerfield movie "Back To School".

The day before Halloween in '95. At the Universal Amphitheater in SoCal.
I had to fly to a site in orange county for work.
It was the Monday night. The QA lab manager was also a big fan & he got tickets.
We left the site after work & drove in to see the show.
They did this song somewhere near the end of the show. IIRC, they played nearly 30 songs.
Super tight, excellent musicianship, song after song.
Had to be back at the site by 5:30 the next morning, so I was tired.
It was easily worth one tired day!

Their shows were amazing.

If you have a music service, grab one of their greatest hits albums. Quirky, amazingly well orchestrated, and fun.

We saw them in OC at an outdoor amphitheater maybe in 1981.
We took our 11 year old son and our 6 year old son to that show.
The little guy danced back and forth to the band's music in the grass
area just behind where we were sitting.

Such a great memory.
