It takes off when he reaches "and the rockets' red glare..." after which we get the soundtrack to Vietnam war footage. "...the bombs bursting in air..."

Hendrix was a veteran, having served as a paratrooper in the early '60s.

There was a lot of antiwar, anti-Vietnam stuff going on. But yeah, it's nice to be reminded of that again. Thanks.
