Most of us are familiar with "Superman" as performed by R.E.M. But did you know that it was a cover whose original was done by a "sunshine pop" band from Texas called The Clique?

The original, by The Clique:

Ironically, this original by The Clique was the B-side of a single whose A-side was a cover of "Sugar On Sunday", originally done by Tommy James and the Shondells.
