Back when that song broke (1986?), they had an MTV interview while in the US.
When they first can here, they had meeting at the LA office of their record company then got on a tour bus to do a series of showcase gigs starting in Eureka.
The bass player said he actually said to the driver after about 8 hours in the bus, "I thought Eureka was in California, too."
The driver said "It is". He said he got an idea of the size of america when it took nearly 10 hours to drive from one spot to another, and be in the same state.
He said that he, of course, had seen maps, but that trip was a revelation to him.
He was pretty funny in relating the story.
