The tragedy infused Jason Isbell/Amanda Shires version of Springsteen's Born in the USA

This is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard. Amanda’s strings and Jason’s drawl, maybe. Bruce also has excellent sad versions.

I think Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp should do a Broadway show where they explain the actual meanings of "Born in the USA" and "Pink Houses" to political candidates.
