Ohoopee River Bottom land seemed to be a hit yesterday, so here's some more Larry

Larry Jon Wilson was an odd mid 70s country singer songwriter - I think he was way ahead of his time.

My biker/coal miner Uncle loved him, but he was just another dude to me back then.

Then a couple years ago, I saw Heartworn Highway, and rediscovered the man. Holy schmoley was he talented, and his voice is 21 year old single malt in a glass.

The best part of the internet to me is that I no longer have to spend hours in used record shops when I get a wild hair about an artist.

Thanks Google.

How about a country and western funk tune about a Gullah wise woman? I mean sure, who HASN'T written that song already, am I right?

Larry's version is the coolest though
