Celebrating the other Mick today. Mick Taylor, IMHO the best guitarist the stones ever had

The slide work on this old Robert Johnson song is gold

Mick was one of the long line of guitar titans to play with John Mayall

Here he is with Carla Olsen. Still with that snarling tone and tasty licks

Mick Taylor is great. Sorry his solo career did not "take off'. Great stuff there. Midnight Writer Jul 2022 #2

Kieth Richards was a riff master, and he and Jagger wrote some great rock-and-roll songs, but Mick Taylor's solos and rhythm work were a cut above that of Richards, Brian Jones and Ron Wood. Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out is one of my favorite concert records, mainly thanks to Taylor's guitar work.

He was not only their best guitar player ever, but it was by a wide margin.
He also did a lot of arranging because he heard the big picture sound.
