How to tour, and enjoy it, when you're 60 or close
Die Toten Hosen are currently taking a break for a few weeks from their 40th anniversary tour, before finishing it later this month and next month, but they've been posting a few videos of concert clips and backstage/offstage scenes during the break, and the one posted about half an hour ago was particularly enjoyable.
Two members of the band, Campino (Andreas Frege) and Andi (Andreas Meurer), turned 60 during this tour. The other members of the band are nearly 60. But that obviously hasn't slowed them down much, though Campino hasn't been climbing the scaffolding on this tour, at least not on any video I've seen so far. (A good thing IMO; you can see him climbing the scaffolding in a video posted here: https://democraticunderground.com/103477379 )
They're doing what I think older musicians SHOULD do: Stay creative. Stay active. Stay fit. And have fun while you're doing it.
I'va also posted this as a reply (#76) in my thread about Die Toten Hosen in the Lounge --
https://democraticunderground.com/10181664814 -- but I wanted to post it here, too, since it's such a great example of an older band continuing to rock on, keeping both themselves and their fans happy.
