Davy Jones with the cast of "Oliver!" on "The Ed Sullivan Show" 2/9/64 - same night as The Beatles

Davy Jones was a cast member of the Broadway production of "Oliver!" and the whole troupe appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on Feb. 9, 1964. Does that date sound familiar? It was the same night The Beatles made their debut on the show.

But I have no recollection of them both being the same night! Well, it was 58-1/2 years ago.

I loved him on The Monkees, but I was a little too young when Oliver! was on Broadway.
