over the years. It's way different that when he first did it, but he can't sing it like that any more. It is so cool how he did it in later years. I have that Reality tour DVD. That version is pretty good too.

Interestingly, I just watched "The Replacements" on HBOMax the other day.
Heroes is the song that kicks in at the triumphant climax.
So, I just heard the original version on Wednesday.

...when my wife & I saw the Glass Spider tour, with Reeves Gabriel's on guitar. It was fantastic.
Reeves is such a great player. A master of coaxing whatever sound that fits out of a guitar.

Listened to it quite a bit circa '88 iirc.

He can't quite replace Porl Thompson for me in The Cure though

Though I don't think Reeves is right for The Cure.
I think the music needs to have more grit & edge for his greatest contribution to take place.
Though I think he could do some great stuff on Disintegration. That seems right up his alley, if Robert freed him up.
