I had a date with a guy from Yale, whose father was "with the World Bank" (huh?) , who told me about going to a deb party (huh? Well, actually, I knew what that was, from reading and all) where Lulu performed. I was struck dumb, and he never asked me out again.

Of course, there was wall-to-wall TV coverage all day long, and a rotating band of UK luminaries commenting, but Lulu was always a welcome sight when she came on. And . . . she looked great!
