"You Belong to Me" is a romantic pop music ballad from the 1950s. The singer reminds his or her beloved love interest, soulmate, or sweetheart that whatever exotic locales and sights he/she experiences, "you belong to me" no matter what happens.
It was Stafford's biggest hit, topping the charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom (the first song by a female singer to top the UK Singles Chart). It first entered the US chart on August 1, 1952 and remained there for 24 weeks. In the UK, it appeared in the first ever UK chart of 14 November 1952 (then a top 12) and reached number 1 on 16 January 1953, being only the second record to top such chart, remaining in the chart for a total of 19 weeks.

This was Liberace's theme song. Just love this song.

This was my father's favorite singer and song. I dedicate this beautiful rendition to both my parents who gave me love and the appreciation to enjoy each moment. I miss them dearly. I'll be seeing you both again.

During WW11 my Navy fiancé left for 2 years in the South Pacific and I waited for him until his return and we were married and after a few months he shipped out again. I wrote him twice a day, a dairy of my life without him and at the end of each letter I would write "I'll Be Seeing You." I knew when landings were being made as he was Beach Master and when I didn't him from him I would pray that he would return safe and sound. Just before the bomb was dropped his transtroop ship was returning to San Francisco where we lived and unbeknownst to me the Navy P.O. at Treasure Island held my letters to him. One evening about midnight my doorbell rang and I knew it was he. As we embraced he handed me 45 of my letters to him. We would have been married 72 years this year and I lost him 28 years ago. Those letters are still unopened and are in a heart-shaped box on a nightstand by my bed.
