Mother's Day Brunch

Look who dropped into my courtyard while my oldest son was here cooking brunch for me!





Unfortunately, I had put my camera away that usually sits on the kitchen counter. Easiest to run to the bedroom to grab my cell phone off its charger. The best camera is the one you have with you!

My son took this photo through the kitchen door with his phone



We didn't see many hummingbirds for awhile after this guy was here.

Red tail hawk? There's a lot of them around here but I sure wouldn't expect to see one in my back yard. That would be cool, though.

across the retention pond. Once last year one flew over and perched on the fence on this side surrounding the pond.

I've had mice and rabbits in my courtyard recently. I think this guy had spied some prey.
