(81,510 posts)Or postcards. Scenic postcards that can double as greeting, thank-you, sympathy, reconnection, announcement, invitation, bon voyage, love, whatever!
Postcards are less complicated to mail (no envelope), less expensive (postcard stamps run less than first-class stamps), and the front photo can really make somebody's day! Imagine the mail carrier who checks the address, and then flips it over to see what's on the other side, and THERE'S THAT IMAGE! That'll be a moment of magic on another otherwise-ordinary day. Might even perk somebody up who's got the blues...

(5,420 posts)We are very fortunate to have an almost 180° view off to the west from our driveway. I take a lot of pictures because the skies are always changing, various angles and intensities of light reflecting off or forming colorful rings around clouds. And all this time of watching and clicking there is no sound save a few birdsongs, tree branches swaying in the wind.
Peoples' responses to these sunset images are gratifying. Humbling.
