I like the red lettuces because they’re pretty … guess that’s kind of silly.

8. I do as well. Lettuce is the only thing I've been able to grow in abundance with little care.

I struck out on sweet potatoes, onions etc. I only have 2 small garden boxes. The leaf lettuce of various kinds and colors was abundant. I do live in a desert, so that might have something to do with it haha.

My grandmother always grew fresh veggies when I was small, and I never appreciated how good they were until I became an adult.
