If you want to dabble in macro there are some inexpensive ways to dip a toe into the pond.
If you have a camera with interchangeable lenses you can try extension tubes. They're simple and fit between the camera and the lens. The combo won't focus like a regular camera, it's close up only, but it let's you get really close. You just move in and out until the subject is in focus because the auto focus is limited to really close in. https://www.amazon.com/MK-F-AF3-Extension-Compatible-Mirrorless-conbination/dp/B06XMXRZ8T/ref=asc_df_B06XMXRZ8T/
Another way to get in close is diopter lenses that screw into the front of the lens. Kinda like reader glasses for your camera. They work on cameras that don't have removable lenses as long as they have threads in the front of the lens. You can find what size you need by looking at the front of the lens, there will be a 0 with a / through it and a number--that's the size of the thread in mm. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1278180-REG/vivitar_viv_cl_52_52mm_close_up_filter.html/?
Just an idea for those who might want to get in closer and expand the possibilities.
