It turns out I was right. They come from the Brandywine River area near Phila. Many artists came from a colony there. The article says that the seeds can be saved and will last 5 years. You might want to look into that. I have never had one but would love to try it. After moving from Phila to CA I haven't had a decent tomato. I remember Hunter S Thompson cherished a jersey tomato that was given as a gift. He treated it like gold.

I miss having a garden now that the hubby and I sold our home & downsized. I'll be at the local farmers market bright & early Saturday morning scooping up my fav 🍅 tomatoes!

Tomatoes DO have a good smell…. Fuzzy stems and all! It reminds me of when I was a child and we’d help my grandmother with her veggie garden. She always grew Beefsteaks, though. 🙂
