Related: About this forumMoon rising
I just happened to look outside the window of my front door to see the Moon rising (while I was watching the UNC football game). Grabbed the camera. No time to set up a tripod and fiddle with settings. And the damn low battery light was flashing. Even without the moon's detail that was visible to the naked eye, this might be the best big moon in relationship to landscape I've ever captured.

If you're old enough to remember the "sunny 16" rule, the moon is an object lit by bright sun!
This guy says to underexpose slightly.

Bright spots tend to block up.
Have fun!
