The OM5 has been announced.

Now I know why there were almost no leaks about the new camera. Nothing to leak.

It is basically a EM5 mk III with new OM and OMD badging. Same sensor, same body and same Tru Pic IX processor.

New to the camera are some of the computational photography features of 1 series; electronic ND filter to 4 stops, live compsite, stary sky focus, hand held 50mp high rez and an extra stop IS. No subject id focusing like the EM1X or the OM1. It's best use would be for a travel camera if you already are invested in the system and only have the larger 1 series bodies.

It has been upgraded to IP3 weather sealing. That's great but I quit working long before the weather gets that bad!

Have to grudgingly admit that it's no great shakes.

I'm assuming that ND means neutral ensity.

Is the electronic ND full coverage of the frame or can it be adjusted for pissition?
I've used ones that went infront of the lenses that you could possition.

Work with video. It is full frame and as I understand it takes a number of underexposed images and stacks them so it can't be graduated.

I haven't really been keeping up with what types of stuff that can be done with digital in camera processing.
Should I buy a new body it is nice to know how the features work.
