The Hawaiian word Pukalani translates to "Hole in Heaven". There is a small town on the slopes of Haleakala where I lived once upon a time called Pukalani. Generally, in the afternoons, clouds would develop up on the slopes, but often not in Pukalani, thus it got its name.

I notice that in almost every photo, the sky has brilliant shades of blue. Maybe it’s the altitude.

I really like it. Fun to sort of soften my eyes and just get lost in the colors and tones.

And I'm out of superlatives to describe Geo.'s photos.

Like a few other great photographers here, Geo. could open a gallery, he's so good.
