Keene was born in Rumbeck, Waldeck, now part of the city of Hessisch Oldendorf, Germany, in 1859. She lived in Britain, South Africa, and Canada. She married Caleb Keene. Wikipedia

I think it was called the Kodak Holiday. I remember that you pulled up on the two metal pieces on the side, and the camera came apart into two pieces for loading film. This one looks like it had a flash attachment, but I don't think ours did. All you had to do was advance the film and push the shutter release. It was a true "box camera." I bet I have some photographs around in a box somewhere that were taken with that camera.
