I have two days to kill in Palm Springs. I cant say visiting the Salton Sea was a worthwhile effort, but at least I got a few pics.

(129 posts)Go over to Joshua Tree National Park. If you've never been there before -- it will knock your socks off. At Jumbo Rocks, it's like stepping back in time to the Flintstones. It should be pretty green there with all the recent rain. It's excellent for some astrophotography.

I'll be in Joshua Tree Saturday night attempting to photograph the green comet.
